Abstract: Aiming to overcome the difficulty of carrying out pipe line flow monitoring in coal preparation plants, the paper starts with an elaboration on the current situation in pipe flow monitoring in coal preparation plants and then goes to introduce the four focal points in making up the flow monitoring system, from the perspective of system structure, selection of flowmeters, data acquisition and transmission, and software design. The study made in the paper can serve as a reference for coal preparation plants to develop such a pipe network flow monitoring system in line with their specific requirements, and for stepping up intelligentization of coal washing operations.
