Experimental study on separation of small anthracite coal with SID-F dry separator

Abstract
In order to realize efficient separation of the difficult-to-separate materials like low-rank small coal and flyash for further improvement of their quality in clean and high-efficiency utilization, experimental study is conducted on the separation of the 10~0 mm anthracite using the SID-F dry separator. The performance of the separator for treating the coal is assessed through analysis of sampled raw coal and separated products and analysis of the data obtained. As indicated by test results, for treating the 10~0 mm coal, the separator can work remarkably well with an overall separation efficiency of >90%, and a drop of ash of clean coal by 9.43 percentage points; for separation of the >3 mm coal, a good separation result can also be expected with the percentage of refuse in clean coal being smaller than 1%; yet in the case of treating the <3 mm coal, the separator works less satisfactorily in efficiency with a percentage of refuse in clean coal of being ≤5%.
