Abstract
Included in Jinjie Power Plant’s coal-electricity integration project for development is an open-air coal stockyard. The stockyard was later shut down according to the requirement of environmental protection policy. In order to renovate the stockyard for rational use and determine its construction scale, a comprehensive analysis is made of the coal suppliers, railway shipment conditions, the gap of supply of small coal to power stations and chemical sectors, and the existing coal unloading and transportation conditions of the stockyard. Analysis shows that the stockyard needs to have a coal handling capacity of 3.00 Mt/a and operate in an enclosed manner for meeting the environmental protection requirement; the stockyard is required to operate with multiple functions including storage and sales of the small coal coming from Jinjie Coal Mine and external sources.
