Abstract
The raw coal treated by Tunlan Plant has four different properties. For rational utilization of the Tunlan Mine′s fat and lean coal resources, analysis is made of the effects of two alterative washing schemes: one is to wash the raw coal in a blended manner and the other is washing each kind of raw coal separately and then have the washed products blended. Result of analysis shows that: the selection of the scheme is directly governed by the difference of the different raw coal in elementary ash; the larger the difference, the more pronounced is the advantage of the former scheme and a much higher yield of clean coal can be obtained compared with the latter scheme; and with the raw coal having approximately the same elementary ash, the latter scheme can be preferably selected because of the higher yield of clean coal.
