The practice of treating magnetic tailings of middling product using coarse slime separation process at Matou Coal Washery

Based on the features of the washing processes applied at Matou Washery and the result of analysis of the characteristics of the magnetic tailings of middling product as well as the limitations of the process currently applied for treating such tailings, the coarse slime separation process is incorporated for treating the tailings. The addition of the process makes it possible for the plant to recover coarse clean coal from magnetic tailings, lessen the flotation difficulty because of preremoval of fine slime from flotation feed, and increase clean coal yield.
