Development of the domestic vibrating screening equipment since the inception of reform and opening up

Vibrating screen is key equipment for cleaning and high-efficiency utilization of coal. Before the launch of the reform and opening up drive, the domestic vibrating screens were generally low in efficiency and reliability. With the introduction of advanced overseas equipment and in-depth study of screening technology, such screens have been incessantly improved. In order to show the innovative development of China′s vibrating screens that has been made over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, an introduction is made in the paper to the major new screens developed and their working principle from 3 aspects, i. e. screening theory, vibration theory and structural design, by citing the advanced banana screen, anti-resonance screen and flip-flop screen as examples. Furthermore, in line with the current industrial situation and national policies, the orientation in which the development of vibrating screens should be directed is elaborated from several perspectives including optimum design, environmental protection, energy conservation, intelligentization and standardization.
