Abstract
An introduction is made in the paper to the commonly used flotation feed pulp preconditioning devices, which are all found to be less satisfactory in performance. To tackle this problem, a pulp preconditioning device with jet mixing-mechanical agitation-pipe stirring integrated operations is developed. Test result shows that the use of the device has met with a remarkably good result as evidenced by the facts that the yield of concentrate is 5.89 percentage points higher as compared to direct flotation process, and the concentrate ash remains stably with 1.78 percentage point.
