Abstract
A jet-stirring integrated fine coal flotation device which incorporates the special features of jet and mechanically-agitated flotation cells is developed, the working principle of the device and the suction and jet driving mechanisms involved are analyzed from the hydrodynamics aspect while the mechanism of energy conversion relating to energy input, energy output and energy loss is also investigated. Result of study indicates that; the input energy is related to inlet flow and can be converted into kinetic energy of the agitator shaft and the final kinetic energy of the jet; and the energy loss is mainly attributed to resistance of friction with wall surface, heat exchange in medium mixing process and impingement of jet on impeller.
