Application of the integrated scraper conveyor protection device at Pansan Coal Preparation Plant

Because of the presence of foreign matters and tramp iron pieces in run-of-mine coal,the head pulley of the scraper conveyor is frequently jammed up during operation. Based on result of analysis of the failure of conveyor scrapers and slight chains,a proximity switch and centralized control system integrated conveyor protection device is developed. Result of field application shows the use of the protection device can lead to effective control and reduction of probability of failure of scraper conveyor and reduction of labor intensity and cost.
