Application of the raw coal sizing screen with renovated shape of opening of plate

The efficiency of the raw coal sizing screen in the raw coal pre-treatment working of Tashan mine coal washery is affected due to accumulation of material on screen plate. Therefore,work is made on technical transformation of the structural design of the screen plate and determination of screen efficiency in relation to plate structure. Finally,the optimum plate structure that can facilitate the sizing operation is defined. It is found through study that at the discharge end,the first and the second row of the screens should use plates with 180 mm × 250 mm oval-shaped holes. Field application shows that the screens work remarkably well and the troubles like accumulation of material on screen plate and blocking of screens have been noticeable reduced. The work made in the paper is of guiding significance for sizing operation.
