Renovation of the magnetic separator tailings treatment at Yyulin Coal Preparation Plant

The dilute medium drained from clean coal,middlings and reject products are treated in a mixed manner in the original design of the medium treatment system. This presents difficulties for the subsequent disliming,sizing and flotation operation. Hence,the magnetic tailings of reject is separated from the clean coal and middlings tailings beforehand for improvement of performance of the three subsequent operations as mentioned above. Practice shows that the technical transformation of the system has led to decrease to the ash of the feed to flotation circuit from 25. 17% to 19. 71%,an increase of the yield of flotation concentrate from 61. 58% to 81. 47% and much improved sizing performance.
