    A general survey of China’s phosphate resources and processing methods

    • Phosphate,as an important non-metallic mineral resource and main chemical raw coal material of phosphorous,is widely used in various sectors,becoming,therefore,a requisite for the development of national economy.Following an introduction to the characteristics of the distribution of phosphate ore resource and the present status of phosphate utilization both at home and abroad,the paper presents a summary of the phosphate processing methods which include,among others,positive flotation,reverse flotation,combined positive and reverse flotation,scrubbing desliming,secondary dressing,roasting digestion and organic acid leaching.Through the comparison of the processing methods commonly used,the paper summarizes the main orientation to which the R & D of phosphate flotation process is directed.This provides a reference for the exploitation and utilization of China’s phosphate resource.
