An investigation into design of process pipeline of coal preparation plant

Rational design and layout of process pipeline is a key link for enabling a coal preparation plant to realize coal processing with reduced cost.On the basis of the experience gained in the design of the process pipeline for a typical power coal washery,the paper elaborates on the criteria for the selection of pipe size,material,fittings and valves,as well as the pipelining principle and process.It suggests that the direction of development of coal preparation plant process pipeline design be directed towards the adoption of the 3-dimensional design mode.Finally,the points requiring special attention in the process of the design and installation of the piping system in proper coal preparation plant are summarized.The experience gained in this respect may serve as a valuable reference for the design of pipework in other plants.
