Abstract
Simulation of the 3D flow pattern in a prototype XJM 60 m3 cylindrical flotation cell is made using CFD software.Through the analysis of the characteristics of the flow field indicates that: unideal flow stabilization effect due to imbalanced pulp flow in each stabilizer channel; flow of pulp directly into cell from feed inlet without passing through the false bottom and impeller,causing a port of pulp to flow back to feed inlet.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the flow field,the measures for structural improvement and optimization of the feed inlet,and stabilizer are proposal.
