Application of RSMD-1500 disc magnetic separator at Dawukou coal preparation plant

In order to solve the problem of high medium consumption at Dawukou coal preparation plant, the RSMD-1500 disc magnetic separator has been used to recovery the magnetite powder from flotation tailings. The application shows that separation efficiency and recovery rate of magnetite of RSMD-1500 disc magnetic separator is 91. 20% and 91. 50% respectively,the magnetic content of recovered medium up to 88. 91%,which is equivalent to medium consumption dropped by 0. 58 kg per ton coal,effectively recovered the medium in this plant. The successful application of this technology provides a new way of recovering dense medium for dense medium separation process without desliming,and has certain reference to promote heavy medium coal preparation technology in China.
