Research on refuse discharging from peranthracite by dense medium screw drum separator

The high content of refuse limited the separation capacity of dense medium separation system,for purpose of increasing the product quality of high refuse content peranthracite in Zhangcui coal mine,the industrial test of refuse discharging was conducted by use of dense medium screw drum separator.In the test,the LXG-18 /60 dense medium screw drum separator discharged the refuse from high density（1.90-2.10 kg/L） peranthracite under lower separator density（1.60 ~1.70 kg/L）.The tests results show that for the raw coal with quality fluctuation,under the refuse content high limit is 95.41%,low limit is 38.76% and average value is 74.38%,the average value of coal（＜ 1.95 kg / L） entrained in refuse is 2.49%,which satisfied the requirement of refuse discharging.
