    Experimental study on ash reduction of lignite slime by flotation

    • To research the feasibility of ash reduction of lignite from Baiyinhua coal field,the float-and-sink and collector condition tests were done on the fine coal produced from the lignite drying process,and based that conducted the ash reduction test by flotation.The test result shows that there is feasibility for ash reduction for the lignite slime mined from that coal field.When the ash content of flotation clean coal is 18%,the clean coal yield is 70%,and the combustible material recovery rate is 84.31%,the lignite belongs to easy to float coal;when the ash content of clean coal less than 15% and the combustible material recovery rate is 65.04%,the lignite belongs to medium to float coal;the tests indicated that the ash content of lignite slime can reduced and the quality can improved by flotation,which provide certain data support for ash reduction and desulfurization of lignite.
