Experimental study on separating flotation tailings by three-product separating and classifying cyclone

Taking flotation tailings collected from Shuguang coal preparation plant as the research object,the laboratory experiments for coal slime separation were conducted employing the three-product separating and classifying cyclone of six different cone section structures.The results showed that: the coarse particles lost into the flotation tailings can be recovered employing the three-product separating and classifying cyclone for coal slime,and at the same time a fine-grained overflow and a high ash underflow are produced.Cone 2# showed better separation results than other cone structure for treating flotation tailings.
