Abstract
A new-style separator of coarse coal slime and its working principles are introduced;The three dimensional inner flow field of pulsating liquid-solid fluidized bed was simulated by Fluent.The result shows that the behavior of coal particles in the separator is related to theirs density,viscosity and particle size.Under the action of ascending current,stratification and separation of coal particles quickly happened indicates that using this equipment to separate coarse slime is feasible.But there are several problems appeared during the separation course such as short circuit flow and back mixing,in order to optimize the separator,the structure of the feed tube and the water distributor must be ameliorated.
