An introduction of distinct element method and its application in mineral processing engineering

This paper introduced the application situation and basic principle of discrete element method,and classifying reviewed the application status of DEM in mineral processing engineering from the four aspects of mill,screening,particle movement characteristics and other mineral processing.At last,it pointed out that the unique advantage of DEM in analyzing granular material and gave a view of future direction of DEM.
