    Study on the effect of modified lignin as the dispersant on rheological behavior of brown coal CWS

    • The cheap and renewable modified lignin was used as dispersant to study performance of brown coal CWS.Effects of coal ratio,temperature,dosages of dispersant and pH on the performance of coal water slurry were investigated by the orthogonal test with four factors and three levels.Effects of coal ratio,temperature,dosages of dispersant and pH on the rheological behavior of coal water slurry were studied by single-factor test.The results showed that the significance of the four factors on the performance of brown coal as indicated by the magnitude of the range could be described in the order of coal matching> temperature> additive dosages > pH.Under the optimal conditions∶ coal matching of 30∶ 20,temperature of 25,the dosages of the dispersant of 0.3% of the coal and pH=4,the highest CWS concentration was 56.1%.The highest CWS concentration was raised 4.1% compared with the result when LS served as the dispersant.
